Pete Klockau is a cartoonist and designer working just below the surface of Milwaukee, WI. A life-long collector and obsessive nerd for old monster movies and all things Tiki, he started turning his drawings into purchasable Tiki Mugs, enamel pins, T-shirts, glassware and more under The Black Lagoon Room brand starting in 2017.
Pete has produced artwork for a wide variety of musicians (Justin Townes Earle, Charlie Parr, Dex Romweber Duo, Rosie Flores, Lydia Loveless) Record Labels (Bloodshot, Drag City, Daytrotter, Graveface, Terror Vision), Breweries (Hacienda) and Magazines (Exotica Moderne, Bachelor Pad, Roctober, Lumpen, Atomic Monster Magazine) over the years.
In the Tiki world, he’s designed pieces for renowned Tiki bars Hala Kahiki and Chef Shangri-La in the Chicago area, Tiki Underground in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Foundation Tiki Bar in Milwaukee, classic lounges Bryant’s, The Packing House and At Random in Milwaukee, and Fong Fest & Exotica Fest in Chicago and more.
